Senior Staff Software Engineer

SUMMARY:
This Software Engineer will develop extensible, reusable code to be shared across multiple tele-robotic platforms. The individual will participate in the full software life cycle engineering and post development product support; must be an eager team player with good verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, multi-tasking, and flexible.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of real-time software including drivers and board bring up
- Software documentation including requirements and design specifications
- Support verification and validation testing including the creation of software test protocols for unit and subsystem testing
- Support automated testing activities including designing and implementing test tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical (or related field)
- Must have solid object oriented design ability and extensive experience with C, C++
- Must have at least five years of relevant experience in software engineering
- Must have extensive real-time software and driver development experience (QNX would be a plus)Must have experience with TCP/IP, UDP network programming and communication protocols
- Experience with multiprocessor core would be a plus
- Prior medical industry experience and knowledge of FDA Software Development Guidelines a plus
