Senior Software Engineer

SUMMARY:
This Software Engineer will develop extensible, reusable code to be shared across multiple tele-robotic platforms. The individual will have participate through out the full software life cycle engineering and post development product support; must be an eager team player with good verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, multi-tasking, and flexible.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of user interface and connectivity to 3rd party systems
- Software documentation including requirements and design specifications
- Contribute to discussions surrounding future applications and products
- Support verification and validation testing including the creation of software test protocols for unit testing and subsystem V&V
- Design and support automated testing activities
- Support manufacturing, customer support, and field engineering functions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical (or related field)
- Must have at least five years of relevant experience in software engineering and programming with experience in team application development
- Must have solid software development experience with OOD principles using C++/ C#
- Experience with Windows XP Embedded and Visual Studio 2008 desirable.
- Experience with UML is desirable
- Experience with machine control desirable
- Prior medical industry experience and knowledge of FDA Software Development Guidelines desirable
