Field Service Engineer - Houston, TX or Cleveland, OH
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Hansen Medical products. FSE verifies and approves operational quality of Hansen Medical products. Also, FSE consults with customer in the site perpetrations and installation of Hansen Medical produces. FSE serves as company liaison with the customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the delivery and installation of Hansen Medical products in collaboration with the customer needs
- Installs and verifies proper operation of Hansen Medical products at the customer’s location. Minimizing lab down time.
- Performs preventive maintenance on Hansen Medical products
- Responds to customer problems, investigates, and resolves problems on equipment
- Reports problems and repairs to the Technical support department at Hansen Medical
- Interfaces with the customer on any and all customer issues and resolves same
- Provide on site technical support for Hansen Medical Marketing shows and regional Sales shows
- Support the sales department in the sale of Hansen Medical products
QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills
- Able to interface with a wide variety of customers successfully
- BS degree or equivalent experience in electronic systems troubleshooting
- 5-10 years experience in medical field service
- Knowledge of network configuration and technology
- Knowledge of LINUX a plus
- Able to work independently with very little direction
- Ability to deal with changing environment a must
- Must be self motivated with high energy to get things done
- Mechanical appetitive necessary
- Travel requirements up to 70%
