Our revolutionary technology is designed to allow physicians three-dimensional catheter control during complex interventional procedures within the chambers of the heart. Hansen Medical technology enhances the physician's ability to access hard to reach anatomy, repeat procedure steps, and maintain catheter stability during procedures.
We are in the growth mode and are currently in search of a creative, talented, and seasoned individual for our Manufacturing Buyer opening. We want those who want to be a part of an innovative company, have a real future, and contribute in a fundamental way. In this role you will be directly involved in the exciting, innovative technology which combines capital electromechanical equipment and a sterile, single use catheter.

SUMMARY:
The Buyer will be responsible for buying and managing production materials, equipment, and services. The Buyer will also create purchase orders, negotiate prices, terms and conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop relationships with new & existing vendors; negotiate price and terms
- Implement & improve procurement policies, procedures and guidelines
- Lead projects to improve costs, quality, and delivery performance
- Support new product launches & product transfers as required in conjunction with R&D, Manufacturing, & Marketing
- Understand Quality Systems Regulations and ensure compliance to all portions of the regulations
- Serve as single point of contact and accountability for suppliers
- Interact with Marketing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Distribution, Manufacturing, Finance, and Planning to evaluate the feasibility of suggested changes
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing of Medical Device components or in other highly regulated industry
- Manufacturing environment
- Fast pace, organized, multi-task
- Ability to thrive in a cutting edge, quickly changing environment necessary!
- Experience with QAD Mfg/Pro a plus
